Home away from Home

For the first time in 2 and 1/2 years I went back to my beloved St . George.
Even though we arrived at 1:30 AM, I woke at about 5:30 I couldn't sleep I was so excited!

We went to the temple

 

Hiked

Did some people watching

Ate at Main Street Cafe, watched some fireworks from Dixie Rock and the window of the golf course condo,

And went spelunking, all with these 2.

I love you St George.

Please do not let me neglect you that long ever again.

Summer Project

This used to be the view from our backyard...

A GIANT weed hill

These pictures do it no justice because it was the first of the summer and you don't get the full effect of the jungle that grows.

So we decided to do something about it.

And this is how it turned out... so far

Don't mind the bare spots, the tractors did a number on our grass

Our garden that we love, much better than weeds

As you can see it is not completely finished, we still have work to do, but is MUCH better than the weed hill.  Goodbye weeds, we will not miss you.

• 27 Tornadoes strike the southern US... well try 107 recorded in the US in 2011
• Aerosol Spray and Winnie-the-Pooh are created
• 5 foot 2, and Eyes of Blue AND When the Red-Red Robin comes a Bob-Bob-Bobbin' Along were hits
• Marilyn Monroe, Hugh Hefner, and Fedel Castro are born (um not the greatest bunch)... thank goodness this lady was too!

 

She loves her black licorice ice cream!

 

I only hope when I am 85 and I stand under my birthday banner, I can say I have never dyed my hair and it is sill as brown as it is now.  Yep, true statement.
