It's Party Time!

Welp, I did it.  I'm officially graduated from nursing school.  I have no pictures, I never put my cap and gown on, and didn't even walk, but it's all the same.  I can't be too excited about graduating, I start right back up this fall to get my Bachelor's.  How I go to 4 years of college and only end up with 2 associate's, I'll never know.  We did go listen to Pres. Monson speak at commencement.  He taught the ABC's. A-Attitude, B-Believe, and C-Courage.  He did awesome, and it was a great experience. 

Yesterday was Colby's birthday.  We celebrated a few different days.  First at my parents house last week, although Colby wasn't able to make it:). Once again he spent the weekend driving, this time to Wisconsin, and pulled another 36 hrs without sleep. So, after some incoherent replies to me trying to get him to wake up, I left for his birthday party without the birthday boy.

But we made up for it this weekend.  Saturday I took him to "Hard Rock Cafe" to go with the birthday theme.  Oh wait, it's out of business.  So after driving all the way down to Salt Lake to find out it's gone, we settled for the Spaghetti Factory.  

We then drove home to meet Colby's not so much surprise party.  You can never surprise this boy because he always finds some way to figure out what you're up to.  We had fun with all our family and friends.  Thanks to all those that came!

This guitar needed a little tuning, sadly the licorice strings would not straighten out and ruined the look.  But thanks mom and dad for helping me make it, it was great.  And excuse the giant candle.  We don't know what happened to our birthday candles in the move and had to settle for this big thing.

Yesterday was his real day.  We had Birthday breakfast, a yummy BBQ at his parents, and finished it off with a winning Jazz playoff game at my sister's house.  Cute Kade was excited to tell us when we walked in they were making "smoobies" aka smoothies.

1 Year Ago Tonight...

Colby and I were engaged! How time flies!  Last year at this time we had just enjoyed an excellent dinner at The Roof and were spending time in SLC.  Tonight, I am wasting time on the computer while Colby...

is  dead asleep

Don't blame him.  The poor boy.  After taking me to dinner and the play Les Miserables (really surprisingly good considering it was put on by HS kids), last night, he took off for Great Falls, Montana, a 9-10hr drive, @ 10:30pm... by himself!  He drove all through the night, picked up a tent trailer early this morning, then drove all day, non stop and got home at 5:30pm!  Living on No sleep for about 32 hrs!  Crazy!  I guess it's a good way to celebrate.  After all, he used to pull this crazy stunt about once a week to visit me in St. George.  Oh the memories!

Hatching this Spring!

The first thing to "hatch" this spring, our new little nephew Jarom.  He came in spring, yet in the middle of a crazy snow storm, and is oh so cute!  He is the first of a few to come!

We went to Kyle and Sheena's that night for our 2nd annual Easter Egg Dye to kick off the Easter season.

The next day we had our Radmall Easter dinner.  Grandpa is always so great to decorate just like Grandma did, and make sure the traditional dinner is made: Ham & funeral potatoes with all the yummy sides.  One of which I inherited... Jell-O Beans, my fav!  I have to give props to Kris, I only make one jar while she made 2, it's quite time consuming even with Colby's help, and takes up the whole fridge!

Then to add a little festive touch to the house, I used an idea I had been itching to try out for weeks I found on Martha Stewart.com.

Easter weekend I took off work Saturday & Sunday to watch a little general conference & spend some time with Colb's.  We planned to make the rounds to our grandparents to wish them a Happy Easter.

We spent Saturday morning making bird nest rice krispie treats, just like my mom used to for us as kids.  I loved finding one of these in my CPK lunchbox. You know I was the envy of the lunch room when I pulled one of these out, even with a hand-me-down, yellow, 80's, CPK lunchbox:).  (That's lingo for Cabbage Patch Kids for those of you who didn't grow up in, or have older siblings that grew up in the 80's).  I don't know how I did it, but these were NOT the best rice krispie's in the world.  Seriously, how do you mess up Rice Krispie Treats?!  Oh well, at least we have nice grandparents that would never tell you they tasted terrible.

while he was cooking I read several Easter stories out of the Ensign.  I was later teased by Colby that he got to sit through 6 sessions of conference due to all my reading

We both surprised each other with egg hunts, and come to find out, had the same idea for our main present...yellow shirts, ha, as you can see in the picture with Grandma Berg.  Although he went a step further and bought me an Easter skirt to go with it!

It was fun combining our traditions together, and celebrating our first Easter!  After dinner with my fam & game night with his parents I'd say we had a pretty busy, and fun filled holiday.  Fitting, considering Easter was the first time we met, & the weekend we got engaged.

Next to "hatch" was my new little niece.  She was born tonight; we can't wait to see her!  And we look forward to Jenn's baby in June!

We are excited for spring to finally be here! I think mother nature may finally be cooperating and just might let us have a few days of sun this week, cross your fingers!
Next on our list to do, GRADUATE!  That's right, April 23rd!  Here I come!
