Early Anniversary

This year we will be on a family reunion trip over our anniversary, so Colby surprised me with a much needed quick getaway to non other than Bosie, Idaho to see Wicked for an early anniversary over the weekend.
I was so excited I could hardly stand it!
We listened to the Wicked soundtrack all the way through on the way up as I belted each and every song. When we arrived we did a quick session at the temple, but before, we admired the grounds as they were full of tulips, it was beautiful.
The next day we happened upon a bunch of street vendors, then played a quick game of Frisbee in the park.
That night was the much anticipated production.  We started with a dinner at Ichiban's, an old little Japanese restaurant where they cook your food on the grill right in front of you, then it was off to the theater.
Seriously we need to figure out our camera, I'm sick of these pixilated pictures
Now I have seen Wicked once, but I was probably over excited for Colby to see it.  Defying Gravity was still my favorite, and I think even Colby understood my enthusiasm for it.

The next day we took a tour of the old Idaho Penatentary.  Can I just say I am thankful for my freedom, and that I don't have to live in a tiny jail cell with a jail mate?
Then we made our trip back home in the howling wind, with a few mishaps on the way.
I was actually surprised at how pretty Bosie was, and I would not be opposed to going again.
Thanks Colby for the fun trip!  I loved it and cannot believe we are coming up on 2 years!  How time fly's when you are having fun!

A SHOUT Out to the Mom's in Our Lives

This Mother's day we are grateful for everything that our own mom's and their mom's have done for us.
They are wonderful people, and though we may be biased, we are sure they are the best.  As we get older, we realize what a tough job it must be to be a mom (especially to us :)).
Thanks for being our personal chauffeurs, cooks, maids, teachers, and shrinks for all these years.
And mostly, thanks for just being our mom's, we LOVE you!
