St. Patty's Day,
The day starts out with the usual Green Eggs and Ham, and I got this little straw idea from here.
And this little present idea for Colby from here
Then of course it's Corned Beef and Cabbage, yuck, but I do love everything green that goes with it.
I got this cute shamrock drink from here.
This year we had a couple of Colby's friends over, one of which had a date from England. I loved every moment of having her over. Some of my favorite things (in the thickest British accent you can think of): when referring to a fruit plate, "Are we supposed to eat this together?... On the same plate?," or when I tried to quietly ask Colby if the meat tasted okay, she got her serious face on then said, "It's quite lovely, absolutely lovely," and all the times she would repeat a word that wasn't familiar to her in her thick British accent in utter confusion. I loved her politeness, I tried to mimic her, I thought I had good manners, but compared to her, I am terrible. I could take a lesson or two from her.
We hope you had a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
