I love that Colby and I have traditions beginning with our first Valentines 3 years ago, I can't believe this was our 4th Valentines, how the time flies! 3 years ago, we decided Valentines was supposed to be mostly home made (although he completely went against the rules the last 2 yrs). This year went much like the last, as we think some of last years traditions will stick.
Heart pancakes- Colby's treat this time
The usual pretty bouquet Colby arranges himself,
A picnic at the park full of heart shaped food,
Complete with fruit salsa and this year heart shaped mini pizzas.
No it wasn't as extravagant as last year, but I had a certification test for work the day before that I studied for all weekend and it cut down on the time put into presentation. Although Colby made up for the lack of presentation when he presented his big surprise...
I have had some pretty weird and surprised picture faces lately |
Yep, he spent hours cutting out the letters and ironing it all on himself. Nothing says "I love you" like a big head on the front of your shirt:). He tried to get me to wear it to work, but luckily, excuse me, I mean UNfortunatley I work somewhere that has a dress code, although the more I look at it, the more it makes me giggle, it is Colby's personality to a T. You may or may not get a rare glimpse of me in this outside of the house, that is if you're really lucky, and I have stripped myself completely of my self consciousness. Ha ha oh Colb's, you are the best.
Love you Colby!
Happy Valentine's Day!
