Give Marriage Hope

We went back to the Draper Temple for the first time in 2 years to do sealings, and as we were driving, Colby's exact words, "Wouldn't that be awesome if we had our sealer?"  Well, when we walked up to the sealing office, guess who came out?  Yep, the man who sealed us.  We were pretty stoked.
On the 27th we celebrated our 2nd year.  We spent it in the hot sun at Lake Powell, no better place.
The other day as we were leaving a restaurant, our over zealous 19 year old waitress says... "I've been watching you guys, and you give marriage hope."  Thanks?  Sad the way the world has potrayed marriage as a bad thing lately that this girl would think there is no real hope in marriage.  Marriage is great, and I couldn't imagine life without my best friend.
Here's to 2 years!  It's flown by, and I love you Colb's more than ever.

Too bad it rained that night, all that hard work for a few hours of people's enjoyment.

Tender Hearted Boy and Hard Boiled Eggs

The other day, I came home to this on the counter...
Looks like a bunch of garbage in a bowl, I thought so too, but look closer...
There's a little egg in it.
When I called Colby to ask him what the heck, he told me he had found it on the ground and he felt bad the momma bird must have kicked it out, so he thought he'd try to save it.
Although I believe mother nature has it pretty well figured out, and I knew this bird wouldn't live, I didn't have the heart to say.
So I did this...
put it on top of our scentsy warmer, cause if this bird even had a chance, I knew no paper towel was going to do the trick.
Well.... let's just say I probably cooked it.  When I came and checked on it later, it was almost too hot to touch.  Whoopsies!
Oh well.  I guess the fact that I knew it wasn't going to live in the first place makes me feel a little bit better.  But only a little.

Sparkles

The recent dirty rain made my car look like I had taken it mudding.  I was embarrassed to go out to my car 3 days later at work as it was still dirty and sitting next to a brand new black clean car.  But as I got closer I was stumped, as I didn't see the little dirt spots, only sparkles.  But I knew it had been dirty only a few hours before when I went in.
Then as I went to open my car door I noticed a bouquet of flowers sitting in my front seat.
Yep, that's why I love 'em, always doing something thoughtful.

One of These is Not Like the Others

The other day Colby bought a bag of baby carrots and told me after opening it he found a giant carrot in the mix.
I figured it was just one of those larger than average baby carrots, but I was not expecting this...
Literally a Giant carrot (or I guess you could say a normal sized carrot).
It gave me the giggles and made my day.
I think "baby" carrots was the wrong name for this particular batch
