Proportion Distrotion

So last night I had a mad case of the hiccups.  I asked Colby if he'd go get me a drink.  He took a while and I wondered what he was doing.  A few minutes later he comes back with this...
a large vase full of ice water.  The moment he walked into the room he burst out laughing, he thought he was soo funny.  Ha okay it was funny, but I was in pain!  Hiccups hurt!  He thought it was so funny that he took this picture to show you a normal large glass of water next to the ridiculous vase of water.
Thanks for the water Colb's, love you!

Going GREEN

Saturday we went to Alice in Wonderland in 3D.  It was fun to go to the Gateway, and the movie was all right, but I would say just wait to get it on Red Box and save your money.  We had fun getting out, especially with Tom and Whit, the newly engaged, congrats guys we can't wait!

Obviously 3D glasses are not our style!

Yesterday was St Patrick's Day.  Now if anyone knows me, I love a reason to celebrate and make the holidays fun.  Even if it is as lame of a holiday as St. Patrick's.  If you were at our house yesterday, you would have thought I was a proud Irish.  In fact, I'm not even part Irish!:)  But Colby woke up to this for breakfast...
green fruit, green milk, & green eggs & ham
Growing up every year my mom made us green eggs and milk, and painted Leprechaun feet on the fridge.  I always loved it, so I carried on the tradition twisting it a bit to my own traditions.  Colby was a little leery of  eating green eggs and green milk, but just like in the story (that yes I read to him) he found they weren't so bad after all.

Then while he was in the shower I hurried and put this on the window...

for those of you that can't see it, there was a pot of gold at the end of a RAINBOW I drew across our window and a little saying.  I say for those of you that can't see because not only is the sun shining behind it, but Colby didn't.  I had to stop him before he pulled out of the garage to come back in and get it.  Then later, come to find out, he didn't even notice the window!  He thought I had just stuck this pot on the floor and expected him to notice.   Sad, my cheesy creations are pointless.  (Thanks again Kate for the rolo's!  It would have looked lame without them.)
Since I didn't have work or school, I went to work on getting an Irish meal cooked (one I'd never cook unless in honor of the holiday), the table set, and house cleaned.
Like our new springy center piece?
And yes, those are homemade shamrock
place mats. A bit cheesy, juvenile, &/or ridiculous?
I know.
Finally at about 7:30 Colby came in surprised to find our mystery guests (my cousin Rachel and her husband Tyler) and a festive Irish dinner complete with Irish music.  This is how it turned out...
Corned beef and green cabbage with carrots, and
potatoes, green jello jigglers, kiwis, green pears and
apples, bread and who could forget the "beer" on
this Irish drinking holiday?:)
Cheers!
Hope you guys had a fun St. Patrick's Day!  Thanks Rach and Ty for coming, until next year!
